"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

TAYLORED EXPRESSIONS~ Cupcake Challenge #42

Here's my entry for this week's Cupcake Challenge! Last week I ordered 2 sets of her cute little cupcakes, Home Sweet Home and Season's Sweetings, which I used here. This sketch was great, and I'm finding that participating in these sketches is really expanding my creativity!

This card is all paper pieced, which seems to be my favorite thing to do right now! I also used lots of brads (Stampin'Up's More Mustard and Pretty in Pink). I'm usually far too stingy with brads and buttons... I'm trying to be better about that! Also used were Stampin' Up cardstock in Old Olive, More Mustard (the star), Always Artichoke and Riding Hood Red, as well as designer series prints papers in Chocolate Chip and Kiwi Kiss, and lastly Sweet Always for the cupcake top! If you don't see a paper or brad mentioned... it's probably because it's from a competitor...oops!~(but you can email me to find out the details)!

The only other special thing I did was to use some funky tinsel ribbon on the tree... isn't it pretty? That was one of my scores from Target this past weekend! YAY!

Have a great Monday!

What a cute card. Love how you wrapped the tree!

BTW the 'chocolate' icing on my mouse cupcake card is brown liquid applique. Thanks for the comment on my blog.
