"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

PAPER~PIECED TULIPS / DS #8...

It's Thursday!!! That means we have another Deconstructed Sketch Challenge for you today! Jen whipped up an awesome sketch this week! I hope you can play!

I decided to paper piece one of my oldie, but goodie digis, Study of Tulips. The paper is way retired SU!, but I LOVE those colors!!! It's really easy to paper piece a digi with patterned paper, just trim it down and run it through the printer like normal paper. If you're using a thicker stock, check your printer's setup, a lot of times you can choose that you are using a thicker paper.

Here's the sketch:

Here's some more of that fabulous twine from my friend Jodi, on Etsy. Her shop is called "talkingtwineandtrim". This sampler of 11 colors, 10 yards of each, was only $12.00! And look at her adorable AND functional packaging! How many times has your bundle of twine ended up being just a giant knotty mess? Not with these! If you go visit her, tell her Arielle says hello!

I also played along with these "flower" challenges:

Have a great night!!!

LEMON BLOSSOMS / CR84FN #32 & CCC #63...

WOOHOO ~ it's Wednesday... we're halfway to a 3 day weekend, folks! This is a new image in the Wax Fruit Company store... Lemon Blossoms. I colored it with Copics, and used some wrinkle ribbon from my sweet friend Sherry! She hand dyes it - so gorgeous! She also sells it, so go visit! We're working on a little shopping page for her, but until then you can just email her. Her ribbon colors are so beautiful and seem to match everything!

I was excited to have a chance to play along with CR84FN this week, always a fun challenge with a nice group of talented ladies! And speaking of nice ladies, I also got a chance to play along with City Crafter, as well - YAY!!!

Bye for now!!!

HOME COOKED MEAL / SSSC #123...

You ever have one of those days where it TAKES all day to get a simple post finished? I started this one 12 hours ago & kept getting sidetracked - LOL!

This image is a new one from Wax Fruit Company called "Home Cooked Meal"... kinda a goofy little digi! Super fun to color, though! I used 2 heart doilies that I folded and tucked under the image.

This is a slight departure from my normal style. I usually like to use a dry embossed white background and lately a clean and simple style. This is pretty simple, but I thought for this image the gingham background would be more effective.

I got to play with the Sweet Sunday Sketch this week - YAY!!!

A couple other challenges I'm entering this card in:
Our Creative Corner - "your" style

Have a great night!

BEACH BOY COLE / CQC #91 & TPE #105...

Happy Tuesday!!! We have a brand new colourQ for you today, and as we near the 4th of July, we have more patriotic colors - WOOHOO!!! This is actually a sneak peek of a new digital scrap kit by Karen Funk, I printed 3 of the digi papers from the kit for the background and Beach Boy Cole's swim trunks! You can see more of the kit on Thursday, right here on my blog OR over at Design House Digital!

Speaking of Cole - he's from June's release over at byLORIdesigns!!! He is so darling isn't he?

The sketch is from this week's Pink Elephant Challenge, which I was late with - OOPS!

Cole's swim trunks were digitally paper pieced before I printed him out. The rest of him was colored with Copics.

You can find adorable Beach Boy Cole over at the byLORIdesigns shop by clicking here.

Also playing along with the Play Date Cafe!

Thanks for stopping by!

NEW HOME / WFCo New Release...

Hello, it's me again! This is my new Wax Fruit Company set called "New Home". I was in a rush making this card, so it's VERY C-A-S! All I did was trim the image and color the door red, heehee! I really do want to completely color one of these up, hopefully this weekend!

We have one more night of VBS... the week has really gone by quick! I can't wait to sleep in tomorrow, if Jeff & the kids will let me - LOL!

Here are some challenges I'm playing with...
Craft Us Crazy - red, white & blue
Penny's Paper Crafty - red, white & blue
Have a great weekend!

TINY PIXIE DAISY / ADFD New Release...

Good morning and happy Friday! Lots going on today, my first card for today is from the new release over at A Day For Daisies! The little pixies are SOOOOOOO adorable! I just want to squeeze them! You can find the new release here. It's also a new challenge day, too! Use pastels but NO PINK! Hope you can play along!

I went with a pretty simple layout for this card. I find that Tammy's images need little or no "gussying" up! They're so fabulous!

I'm FINALLY getting a chance to play along with CAS-ual Fridays - YAY ME!!! And also playing with the Rainbow Lady.

Back in a few!

VICTORIAN 4th / Deconstructed Sketch Vacation Blog Hop...

It's a Deconstructed Sketch Vacation Blog Hop! Jen is on vacation this week so she thought it would be fun to mix things up a bit this week and have a blog hop. And you know what a blog hop means... that's right PRIZES!! For this blog hop there will be TWO prizes, one for one very lucky commenter and one for one very lucky randomly drawn participant in the sketch challenge.

So what do you need to do? Well, hop around to all the design team blogs and leave a comment. The list is below so you can hop in your own order. Very easy! Second, take a look at the sketch and make a project using the sketch as creative inspiration, post it online (blog or gallery) and link it back to the InLinkz on Jen's blog. Again, very easy!! On June 27th, 2011 Jen will announce the winner of the comment prize on her blog. The winner of the sketch participation prize will be announced on June 30th along with the next sketch.

So what are the prizes? Well Jen has kept that a secret so you will need to take a trip to her blog to find out what the prizes will be! But they are sure to be BIG!

Deconstructed Sketch Vacation Blog Hop List:
Thanks so much for hopping with us today!

The image is a new one from the Wax Fruit Company, called Victorian 4th. I'll have the new image up in the shop later today. I decided to leave the image plain and just color the flag. I used a white gel pen to color the stars.

Have fun hopping!!!
